 KVRS (Knudson's Video Recording System) e' un programma ancora in fase di sviluppo studiato per poter realizzare un sistema di videosorveglianza usando un semplice pc e una scheda tv realizzato in C++. Il programma si appoggia su mencoder e prossimamente sara' dotato di una interfaccia web per poterlo gestire senza dover ricorrere a SSH. Finche' il programma non raggiungiera' una versione stabile non sara' rilasciato in tutte le sue funzionalita' ma solo in versione dimostrativo. Per contribuire allo sviluppo di KVRS potete considerare l'acqusito di un pc presso il negozio di mio fratello oppure fare una donazione ai ragazzi di mencoder (ma anche offrirmi una birra non e' una cattiva idea). Si noti fin da subito che il programma rimarra' closed source finche' non raggiungiera' lo stato dell'arte (adesso per esempio sto abusando di system() e la cosa non mi fa onore). Ricordate che dovete avere i diritti su /dev/videoX. In futuro vedremo.

 KVRS (Knudson's Video Recording System) is a software that is still under developement aimed to make a viedeo recording system out of a simple pc and a tv-capture device, and it's written in in C++. The software uses mencoder e in the near future will have a web interface so you don't have to use SSH to control it. Until the day that KVRS will reach a stable version it won't be released with all it's features but just as a demo. If you want to contribute to KVRS's developement please consider to buy a pc from my brother's shop or make a donation to the guys at mencoder (or why not, a free beer is always welcome). Please note that until the source will be human-readable KVRS will remain closed source (right now i am abusing the system() call, and that's NOT honorable). Time will show. Rememebr to chmod /dev/videoX if you are not running kvrs as root (as you should!).
